Inspiring Travel Writing from Rowena Carr-Allinson

With a mixed European background, Rowena grew up always the ‘foreigner’ and quickly came to feel home was wherever she lay her hat.
Starting out a career at the Financial Times, she went onto sports reporting and producing interactive content for Sony Pictures and LivingTV before settling back into writing full time.
Her travel stories and reviews have appeared in the UK, Canada, US, South Africa and Australia – in everything from the Toronto Star to London’s Metro, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and OK! Magazine - as well as several bridal publications, in-flights, specialist travel publications and even a 1001 Escapes book.
She splits her time between the UK and France where she lives with her husband and is partial to cooking, entertaining friends, fluffy cats, sarcasm and global shopping.
