Inspiring Travel Writing from Richard Waters

Richard cut his travel writing teeth as an author for Lonely Planet in Laos. Since then he's gone back there a number of times to write about Ecotourism and author three of LP's Laos titles including the traveller bible Southeast Asia on a Shoestring and the recently published Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Greater Mekong. His travels tend to take him to off-the-beaten-path locations covering wildlife and trekking, including Yemen, China, Mongolia and Cambodia where he'll be based this autumn. Publications he regularly contributes to include: Elle, Tatler, Sunday Times (magazine and newspaper), CNN Traveller, The Observer, The Independent and Dorling Kindersley. He's also a contributing author and photographer to the hugely successful Cool Camping series.
A keen boxer, despite ailing limbs, he lives with his partner and two kids in Brighton. He also writes fiction and is represented by the Teresa Chris Literary Agency. His one man play 'Red Wings', about actor Richard Burton received five star reviews at Theater Clwyd, Wales' premier theatre.
