Inspiring Travel Writing from Richard Binns

Richard Binns is the pre-eminent writer of travel guides to France and Britain, including the renowned French Leave series. Most of his 17 self-published guides have been bestsellers; one made the No1 spot in both The Sunday Times and The Times lists.
For 20 years he has contributed regularly to national newspapers and magazines, including over 100 articles for The Sunday Times alone. Stephen Pile, writing in The Daily Telegraph, claimed: "They don't make them like Richard Binns any more." Brian MacArthur, in The Times, wrote of Richard's work as: "The most companionable of the English guides to France."
His subjective, idiosyncratic work, specialising in the "not-so-obvious" has won him myriad friends. He is the only travel writer to have won a France Travelaureat, an award nominated by the 60,000-plus subscribers to the highly acclaimed France magazine. He has also been awarded La Medaille d'Argent du Tourisme by the French Government.
