Inspiring Travel Writing from Jeroen Bergmans

Jeroen Bergmans
Jeroen Bergmans was born in Barcelona to Dutch parents and cut his teeth in luxury travel whilst still an undergraduate at Bristol University (where he studied Spanish and Russian) by guiding groups of up to 60 American tourists on whistle-stop tours of the UK, France, Spain and Russia. A stint at design consultancy Imagination as a Travel Manager gave him an excellent training in logistics commandeering private jets and booking meeting venues in the rarified world of high-end business travel. Then he joined the launch team of minimalist boutique hotel The Hempel which gave him a passion for design and an insight into hotel management.

Over the course of nine years at award-winning style bible Wallpaper* magazine, he climbed the masthead to become Travel Editor and Series Editor of the Wallpaper* City Guides published by Phaidon. He still regularly contributes travel features to high-end glossies like Departures, TIME and Spears Wealth Monthly and national newspapers including the The FT, The Guardian, The Observer, and The Independent.
