Inspiring Travel Writing from Hermione Cameron
Coming from a theatrical background, Hermione has a passionate appreciation for the beauty, drama and mystery of wonderful hotels, particularly those that offer a joyous welcome and grow steadily in your affections.
Early influences came with holidays in France and Spain in the 70s and 80s,where the objective was to drive hundreds of miles in an a VW microbus to see as much of Europe as possible; from chateaux of the Loire to Greek and Roman archaeological excavations, in search of Joan of Arc, the Emperor Nero or lost relations who had come over with William the Conqueror.
As well as reviewing for Travel Intelligence Hermione freelances for international newspapers and magazines from her base in London. Her first book NOTTING HILL BEHIND THE SCENES was published in 2007 and the second HOLLAND PARK BEHIND THE SCENES is due later in 2009.
