Inspiring Travel Writing from Emma Gibbs

Starting life in southeast Asia gave Emma an unshakeable love for the tropics, noodles and travel. After graduating with a Masters in creative writing, she spent a year writing copy for a luxury travel company before joining DK Travel Guides as junior editor on “Where To Go When”.

Now a writer and editor for Rough Guides, Emma was a contributor to the best-selling “Make the Most of Your Time on Earth” and last year updated Paris and southern France for “The Rough Guide to Europe on a Budget”. She has recently spent a month in Laos researching and updating the next edition of “The Rough Guide to Laos”, due to be published in January 2011.
