Inspiring Travel Writing from Christopher Deliso

Christopher Deliso is a professional travel writer and journalist covering the Balkans, Greece, Turkey and the Caucasus. Chris’ experience of the region started when he embarked on an MPhil course in Byzantine Studies at Oxford University, back in 1997. He has been living and travelling in the region ever since.
Aside from publishing many travel articles in US newspapers and magazines, and reviewing hotels for Travel Intelligence, Chris has co-authored Lonely Planet guides to Greece, the Greek Islands, Bulgaria, Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and Europe on a Shoestring. In 2007, London’s Haus Publishing released Chris’ first travelogue, Hidden Macedonia. Along with the personal website chrisdeliso.com Chris runs an independent Balkan news and analysis website, balkanalysis.com.
