A restless personality and a love of the new led Alison Tyler to a career in lifestyle travel writing and editing. After a stint as travel editor at Glamour magazine she went on to edit the travel pages at the Evening Standard. Currently, she writes on the UK for Travel+Leisure; about hotels & spas for Tatler, and hunts out the best bars, hottest restaurants, shops, stylish cities and off-the- beaten-track adventures around the world for the likes of the Observer, the Times and the New York Post. When she's not travelling, Alison lives in London with her husband and can usually be found in her garden.
