Based in the high desert arts and outdoors town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, freelance writer Granville Greene specializes in adventure travel and cultural subjects, and has written about everything from diving with whales in the Sea of Cortez and trekking in New Zealand, to art in Las Vegas and the smoky-flavored Mexican spirit mezcal.

He has written for Outside, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure and many other magazines, and is co-author of the travel guidebook New Mexico for Dummies. He has visited over 40 countries.
