Writers bio:
Sarah Shuckburgh was brought up in Cambridge, and until she was fifteen she journeyed no further afield than Cornwall or Norfolk. Since then she has travelled as much as possible. Sarah is a regular contributor to the Sunday Telegraph Travel Section, and for many years led cultural tours and walking holidays in Europe, India and Malaysia.
When not travelling, Sarah divides her time between London - where she teaches Sociology, sits as a magistrate, and presides over a large household - and rural Normandy, where she walks and writes.
