Cynthia Rosenfeld

Contributing Editor for Conde Nast Traveler Cynthia Rosenfeld is responsible for reporting on Asia’s tourism development for America’s leading travel publication, including identifying and reviewing new hotels, spas, restaurants and nightlife from Japan to the Indian Ocean for the magazine’s annual Hot List, an industry standard. New York born and raised in Los Angeles, she writes regularly on domestic and international developments in tourism and lifestyle trends. After graduating from Yale with a degree in East Asian Studies, Cynthia spent nearly ten years in Europe and Asia, first as as an investment banker in Hong Kong and then as Assistant Director of Development for Club Med, the French resort operator before launching her writing career in 2001. She has advised UNESCO on sustainable tourism development and is a board member of the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust. Other recent publications include the New York Times, Time, Wallpaper*, Conde Nast Traveller (U.K), Modern Bride, South China Morning Post, Australian Gourmet Traveller, Destinasian and LUXE City Guides.
