Eamonn Gearon

Writers bio:
Ten years ago, Eamonn Gearon sold his house in London in order to buy camels, thus facilitating a lengthy solo walk in the Sahara. That done, and having no home to return to, he has been wandering in Northern, Central and East Africa and the Middle East since that time. Having written articles for dozens of newspapers and magazines and contributed to various books, including a guide to Saharan exploration and an encyclopaedia of African history, he is currently writing a cultural history of the Sahara.

A writer, journalist, documentary filmmaker and dreamer, Eamonn is happy to continue travelling as long as he can find a kind soul to look after his cats and farm in Ireland, both of which he has yet to acquire.
