Linda Ballou

Writers bio:
Blessed with a double dose of genetic wanderlust, Linda loves to explore. At thirteen her pioneering parents uprooted her from Southern California and took her to Alaska where she became firmly grounded in nature. She returned to proud California where she obtained a degree in English Literature and a Doctorate in Urban Savvy. She still calls the City of Angels her home.

Her articles detailing outdoor adventures have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Northwest Travel Magazine, and Specialty Travel Index. She is a regular contributor to Travel World and Real Travel Adventure both prominent online magazines. Over the last decade, she has kayaked from island to island in the Sea of Cortez in Baja, hiked biked and kayaked around New Zealand and Costa Rica, and ridden on horseback into the untrammeled mountains of the wild west of America. Her most recent exploration a rafting expedition on the Tatshenshini River through a 24-million acre roadless wilderness in Alaska ranks very high on her list of things you must do before you die. These adventures, and more, are brought to life in her soon to be published travel collection Lost Angel Walkabout.
