Sumratin by The TI Review Team
This hotel has long been one of the best value hotels in Dubrovnik. Owned by the same people who have the Hotel Zagreb further up the Lapad Promenade, the two-star hotel has had a recent renovation. All 44 rooms, on three floors, are en suite and some have balconies. The hotel is set back a little from the pedestrianised street, in a shady “sub-topical” garden of palms and oleanders. Its restaurant spills out into the garden and there is a barbecue grill.
The pebble beach of Lapad Bay (officially called Sumratin Bay, hence the hotel’s name) is a couple of hundred yards away. Close by is a shopping mall, tourist office and bus stop, where regular buses take 10–15 minutes to reach the Old Town.
