Ouirgane is cool in the heat of the summer and mild in winter. La Roseraie is an idyllic retreat from Marrakech, despite some bad press recently - some say it's a bit faded, service is erratic, the food is not so good and it's full of groups in season. Yet it is set in extensive gardens filled with roses, century-old olives, apple trees, pomegranates and wild flowers. There is a wonderful feeling of space, with three swimming pools in different levels of the gardens and you can always a quiet, unoccupied corner in the gardens. La Roseraie has stables with beautiful horses for riding and trekking in the surrounding mountains. The rooms have large bathrooms with huge marble baths. For further relaxation there is a hydrotherapy centre which has a hammam, massage bath, gym, sauna, massages rooms and two pools. If your expectations are not sky high, this hotel still has many attractions.
