Hotel Villa Orsula by The TI Review Team

TI reviewer Roger Williams:
This elegant stone-built seaside villa, dating from 1936, is set in delightful gardens that go down to the sea. Intimate and quiet, the Villa Orsula was overhauled in 1989. It has 12 air-conditioned rooms and three suites and all but the single rooms have sea views, across to the islands of Lokrum and to the walled city. Its restaurant has a terrace and there is a garden café.

Villa Orsula is where stars are likely to stay these days, though the likes of Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and Maria Callas used to stay in the five-star Argentina next door, part of the Grand Villa Argentina complex to which the Villa Orsula is connected, giving access to the facilities of pool, gym and sauna as well as a number of restaurants and bars. The villa is five minutes’ walk from the Ploce Gate in the Old Town, and there is parking.
