This modern approach to an historic conversion works well in this hotel of 66 well proportioned rooms - the Victoria has a more businesslike, as well as minimalist feel than the nearby Gabbia d’Oro. Public spaces are elegant and airy, with some exposed brick and stone, and rooms are done in historic pastel colours with drapes and, in some cases, ceiling frescoes, but not overdone. Right in the center of the old town, the Victoria is a leading choice for opera fans.
