Glass House on the Ganges by Mahoot

A wonderful, rural retreat, high in the hills above the holy town of Rishikesh, the Glasshouse lies right on the banks of the Ganges and is surrounded by orchards, gardens, and forest. Interestingly, it is situated at the only point on the river where the Ganges flows northwards. The bedrooms are simple yet comfortably decorated, in keeping with their mountain surroundings. The views from some bedrooms are exceptional. Extremely peaceful, it offers excellent walking, swimming from a private beach or rafting. Alternatively, lie back in a ‘planters’ chair and watch the mighty river rushing past you.
