Buca di Bacco is a popular, family-run hotel located directly on the beach in Positano. Its restaurant and beachside bar are popular haunts of non-guests all day long. The rooms are simply decorated to a good standard, all have sea views and balconies, and superior rooms have terraces with some of the best views in the village. The different sections and levels of the Buca di Bacco are connected by an array of staircases, lifts and corridors. Being right next to the sea there is no pool. This is the place to be if you want to be right in the thick of it, but during the busiest season (July and August) those seeking a bit of peace and quiet may prefer to be slightly further away from the beach.
