Towering totem poles, a rumbling geyser, wooden lodge dwellings; Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort pays homage to the national parks of America's great Northwest. It's much quieter and calmer compared to the other Disney Resorts, set across the lake from the Magic Kingdom theme park.

The facilities

There are two restaurants on sight, one serving polished cuisine from the Pacific Northwest, one a more laid back cowboy-themed grill. There's an outdoor pool, children's playground, spa and private beach on-site too.

The rooms

Each of the guestrooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort shares the same great frontiers theme as its communal areas. All come with nightly turndown (on request), flat screen televisions, private safes and a private balcony or patio as standard.

Children

Needless to say, it's very family-friendly. Babysitting and additional beds/cots are available on request. There's a children's playground on-site, as well as campfire sing-alongs with Chip'n'Dale.


Eating in

Head to Artist Point for the resort's signature Pacific Northwest dining, or Whispering Canyon Cafe for relaxed Western-style barbecues.
