Hotel Overview
Opened in 1927, the Sherry Netherland is an absolute institution on the New York luxury hotel scene. Traditional and refined, stay here and experience absolute comfort and impeccable service right on Fifth Avenue. Location-wise, this is the best; the Sherry overlooks Central Park and is within walking distance to the city's most upmarket shops and major sights.
The facilities
The restaurant, Harry Cipriani, is a carbon copy of the famous Harry's Bar in Venice, and serves elegant Northern Italian fare in informal surrounds. This influence continue in the lobby area, which is modelled after the Vatican Library; the building as a whole is absolutely stunning and well worth a look on any visit to New York.
The rooms
Each of the Sherry's 50 guestrooms is traditional and elegant in style, in keeping with its communal areas. Beautifully appointed, they all boast iPod docking stations, flat screen televisions, DVD players and wifi internet access as standard.
