The Hermitage is a luxury hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. A political and cultural hub for the first half of the 20th-century, The Hermitage was the campaign headquarters for John F. Kennedy and has been host to five other presidents (including Johnson, Roosevelt and Nixon). The luxury hotel was opened in 1910 and was the country's first 'million dollar hotel', wowing guests with its opulence. Many original features have been restored for guests to enjoy today, including the entrance's Italian sienna marble and the beautiful stained glass ceiling in the vaulted lobby.
The facilities
The luxury hotel's Oak Bar and Capitol Grille restaurant have been the location for many a historic power lunch. Today, enjoy the old-money setting to chow down on locally-sourced Southern cuisine. Menu favourites include Tennessee Black Angus beef and game, plus super-fresh seafood.
