The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort, was created to provide an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of its unique surroundings. Nestled among 27 acres of seemingly endless rows of grape vines, unspoilt farmland and scenic apple orchards, inn's design was based on cues from the local countryside - including barns, silos and ranchers' cottages - and combined with stylish, modern interiors - to capture the region's distinct charm as well as the needs of our sophisticated guests. Ideally located between the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, the inn is just an hour from San Francisco, yet a world apart.

The facilities

Gravel paths crunch underneath your feet, leading to private gardens where you can enjoy a glass of California's finest wines. The signature Hilltop Pool and hot tub is an infinity edge pool for adults only, and the resort offers a second pool area designed for family and fitness, with a lap pool, hot tub, cabanas, children's pool and full food and beverage service. The spa at Carneros features nine indoor and five outdoor treatment rooms as well as customized hydrotherapy baths ad herb-infused steam rooms.

The rooms

The Carneros Inn features 86 individual cottages, including 10 suites, set amidst landscaped courtyards. Rich with natural light that washes over Brazilian cherry wood floors through expansive windows and French doors, the cottages feature wood-burning fireplaces with polished concrete hearths to ensure warmth and a cosy atmosphere. Cottages feature private terraces with teak furniture and gas-fired heaters, and bathrooms with limestone countertops, heated slate floors and, in most cottages, separate soaking tubs set beneath casement windows.
