The Century is one of Miami's most architecturally significant boutique hotels. Designed in 1939 by Art Deco ace Henry Hohauser, it has since been impeccably renovated for the 21st-century. A hit with the city's socialites and celebrities, it is all about understated elegance: never stuff, always cool.

The facilities

Not a great deal of facilities here, but there's a business centre for corporate guests, plus a dry cleaning and laundry service, and beach-towel hire. Most of the focus, as with many boutique hotels, has been placed in the bedrooms.

The rooms

Each of the Century's 31 bedrooms share the same sleek, beach-chic style as the rest of the hotel. Cherry wood flooring, top-to-toe marble bathrooms and top-notch linens are a feature of each.
