The Fairmont Kea Lani is a top-notch all-suites luxury resort in Maui, Hawaii. Intimate and boutique it isn't, but for sheer range of facilities and service, it's pretty hard to beat. It sits pretty on Polo Beach, close to three championship golf courses and some of the best shopping the island has to offer.

The facilities

Snorkelling, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking and windsurfing are all available to try. For those of a more leisurely demeanour, there's a spa area complete with sauna and steam room, plus a lovely outdoor terrace and poolside bar. One of Maui's best seafood restaurant's, Nick's Fishmarket, calls the Fairmont home, but if that's not your thing there's a further four eateries to choose from.

The rooms

Each of the Fairmont's suites are spacious and refined, with beautiful ocean views. All come with flat screen televisions, iPod docks and DVD players. Top-to-toe marble bathrooms come complete with double sinks, deep soaking tubs and super-luxe toiletries. For those who need a bit more space, the hotel has a range of villa accommodation on site too.
