Hotel Overview
The Standard Hollywood is a contemporary-chic luxury hotel with a decor and philosophy to suit its young and trendy clientele with floor-to-ceiling shag carpeting in the lobby lounge and a live DJ at the front desk.
The facilities
The outdoor pool has a sundeck covered in cobalt blue Astroturf and the hotel features an ongoing exhibition devoted to fine art video and live performance art. The hotel is also home to Rudy’s barbershop and a poolside desert café. Dim lights and beaded curtains set the stage for the ultra-cool Restaurant 24/7, which has a menu eclectic enough to satisfy any craving, any time. Of course, the Standard Lounge continues to be one of Hollywood’s most fashionable nightspots.
The rooms
The Standard Hollywood's 139 guestrooms embody chic comfort, with silver beanbag chairs and oversized down pillows. Rooms come with king beds, except large rooms which have two full size platform beds. There are flat-screen TVs as well as DVD players, iPod docks and high-speed internet access (available upon request). For gazing off into the sunset, most rooms except budget rooms have a private balcony or terrace.
