Kona Village Resort is closed indefinitely due to significant structural and property damage sustained from an earthquake-generated tsunami.

Kona Village Resort is a secluded collection of private, Polynesian thatched roof bungalows, or “hale,” each enjoying prime landscapes and serene lagoons in 82 acres of tranquil tropical paradise. On the Big Island’s unique western coast, the Kona side, life moves slowly and leisurely, and the resort reflects the mood with generous hospitality and lush surrounds.

The facilities

Kona Village is Hawaii's only inclusive resort and includes three meals for two each day in room rates. The resort’s ocean activities programme offers seasonal humpback whale watching, cruises to hidden snorkelling sites, SCUBA dive instruction, as well as Hawaiian outrigger canoe lessons, deep sea fishing, windsurfing, stand up paddle board and kayaking.

The Kona Village Resort Health Spa embraces the spiritual nature of the Big Island, providing rejuvenating treatments using 100% pure organic coconut oil and wellness programs offering meditative yoga classes. The bungalows

Experience a complete break from the world in one of 125 thatched-roof bungalows that have no televisions, radios, alarm clocks or telephones. To eliminate the intruding hum of air conditioning, cooling is provided by tropical trade winds and large interior ceiling fans. Amenities include bathrobes, minibars and private decks, and some come with private Jacuzzis and beachfront views.
