The Regency's 1229 rooms are some of the largest and most luxurious in Hawaii, and most have a private balcony, beach view or both. One word of warning: it has been known for some of the rooms near the elevators to suffer noise problems, and the popularity of the hotel means that changing is not always an option.

The Regency has more to offer children and families than many city hotels, due to its private swimming pool and close proximity to the beach. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the hotel offers a babysitting service.
