The facilities
Known worldwide as a premier ski destination, the Alyeska's lifts take skiers to 73 trails over 1,400 skiable acres, including North America’s longest double black-diamond run. Besides skiing, the resort offers a bevy of outdoor adventure activities including a scenic aerial tram, wildlife tours, hiking, downhill mountain biking and more. The hotel doesn’t skimp on creature comforts either. - The wildlife-averse; though not far from the airport, the resort is a full 40 miles south of Anchorage, where moose and bears are a still a very common sight.
