Hotel Overview
This exquisite suite hotel, built in 1925, is one of the finest addresses in Boston. Situated amidst the city's cultural treasures, The Eliot Suite Hotel reflects the history, charm and warmth of Boston.
Overlooking tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue, The Eliot Hotel offers 79 elegantly appointed suites and 16 deluxe guest rooms. To help make the traveller feel completely comfortable, we offer signature robes, Egyptian cotton linens, deliciously stocked mini-bars, complimentary toiletries and nightly turn-down service of the most comfortable beds we could find. Cribs are provided at no extra charge and children under the age of 18 share your room free. And, of course, we have 24-hour room service prepared in the kitchen of our award winning Restaurant Clio. Our staff is ready to provide you with any request day or night.
The Eliot Hotel was built in 1925 in what had become, and continues to be today, Boston's most elegant and prestigious neighborhood. The neighborhood materialized in the latter half of the 19th century, reclaimed from mudflats in what was the largest urban landfill project of its time in the world. Wealthy Bostonians flocked to the Back Bay and built their townhouses in the fashionable French Empire style. Many cultural institutions followed and the Back Bay became the center for much of Boston's cultural life.
