The Bellvue Club luxury hotel is set on nine acres in Bellevue, Washington, just outside Seattle. Its location makes it a calming retreat from the city, yet as it is just a short distance from lakes, ski slopes and downtown Seattle, you're never far from a faster pace of life.

The facilities

The Bellevue's "Club" is its state-of-the-art 150,000 sq ft athletics club, adjacent to the main hotel building. Personal trainers and fitness classes are available, and guests may use the club's indoor running track, two lap pools, free weights, cardiovascular or strength training equipment as well. The luxury hotel's club also has an outdoor splash pool.

Bellevue isn't all about its athletics club, though. Non-gym bunnies will feel equally at home at the luxury hotel, with its beautiful landscape garden surrounds and well-placed pieces of modern art throughout the public rooms. Bellevue's choice of bars and restaurants is nicely diverse, with the urban-cool Polaris serving up high-end American cuisine and Cosmos Lounge taking care of cocktails and light meals. Splash café is a good stop for snacks, and lobby coffee house Luna Express has take-out options.

The rooms

The Bellevue Club has 67 rooms, all with contemporary-classic décor that includes hand-made cherry wood furniture and French doors. Bathrooms are all granite and glass, many with whirlpool baths, and beds are extra comfortable with duck down pillows and 500-thread-count Indian cotton duvets. Other in-room goodies include Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
