The Hotel du Vin Winchester is housed in one of the city's most important Georgian buildings, that dates back to 1715. It's the smallest and arguably the most elegant; just 24 bedrooms decorated in the chain's signature contemporary, unpretentious style. Winchester Cathedral, The Great Hall and King Arthurs Round Table are all within walking distance from the hotel.
The facilities
The French-style Bistro is a major draw here, cosy and intimate it's the perfect spot for a lengthy lunch or candlelit dinner. There's also the refined Champagne Bar and a pretty walled garden.
