The Bath Arms at Longleat 3 Stars
“Traditional English chic meets quirky theme decor in this 16-room inn on the Longleat estate in the village of Horningsham.”
Hotel Overview
The Bath Arms in Horningsham is a quirky boutique hotel on Lord Bath's Longleat Estate. Straddling the Wiltshire/Somerset border, it makes a great base for exploring the countryside and nearby Bath, Salisbury and Warminster. Stonehenge is just a short drive away.
The facilities
On a small scale, but exceptionally well done: the restaurant and bar sources all of its ingredients locally and uses traditional preserving methods when they can, as well as the wealth of game, fish and rare breed livestock kept on the estate. There's also a sumptuous spa to unwind in, which uses Cicaroma 100% organic products for all treatments.
The rooms
16 en-suite bedrooms have been refurbished and individually designed with extravagantly-framed beds, rolltop baths (in Deluxe rooms) and mismatched prints. LCD TVs and DVD players are sensitively integrated with period furniture, and every room has Wi-Fi. All have some element of racy decor, but the Karma Sutra room is most provocative. Families should take advantage of The Lodge, which is set apart from the main building and has two bedrooms as well as a kitchenette and TV/DVD in the living room.

The Press Say
"The Bath Arms draws visitors with its fine menu and a maze of unusual rooms. Part of the Longleat Estate, it is a five-minute arboreal stroll from Longleat House and is the only pub in the village." The Observer 07
