Congham Hall, an elegant Georgian manor in Norfolk, is a fine example of the traditional country house hotel. The restaurant holds 2AA rosettes and serves polished Modern British cuisine. The afternoon tea spreads are very generous, but need 24-hour notice. Leave the lovely gardens and explore Norfolk's fine stretches of beach, or try clay pigeon shooting on the estate.

Each of Congham Hall's 14 guestrooms is traditionally appointed, in keeping with its communal areas. All have flat screen televisions, DVD players, nightly turn down and complimentary internet access as standard.
