Hotel Overview
Dean Street Townhouse is the brainchild of Nick Jones, founder of London's ultra-glamorous Soho House Group and Richard Caring (who owns the equally glamorous celebrity hotspots Le Caprice, the Ivy and J Sheekey restaurants). It is a beautifully restored Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse in the capital's buzzy Soho district, at once elegant, refined and utterly homely.
The facilities
Minimal facilities, as befits a proper boutique hotel. There's an excellent restaurant that's popular with locals as well as guests, and serves seasonal Modern British cuisine at very reasonable prices. The sweeping American-style bar makes for a sophisticated place to enjoy an evening cocktail.
The rooms
Each of Dean Street Townhouse's 39 guestrooms is contemporary English in style. They vary in size and are honestly named; 'Tiny', 'Small', 'Medium' and 'Bigger'. Beautifully decorated with hand-painted Georgian wallpaper, newly upholstered vintage furnishings and Egyptian cotton linens, they are a style-savvy place stay in the bohemian heart of London.
