Immerse yourself in pure Georgian-style opulence by staying at the four-star Academy Townhouse in the heart of central London. This lavish boutique has five interconnected townhouses filled with twisting staircases, elegant architecture and green- and yellow-striped wallpaper. Although close to popular tourist sites like the world-renowned British Museum and British Library, the Academy is on a calmer, more residential street within the bustling city, giving the best of both worlds to travellers.

With its wooden floor, leather couch and chairs, fireplace, flowers and arched white doorway, the hotel's quiet and friendly reception area is instantly warm and welcoming. On sunny days, guests can also visit the hotel's two intimate outdoor patio and garden areas

For a full English breakfast during the mornings and drinks at night, relax and unwind in the private basement; one side of the bar has comfy sofas and wooden bookshelves, while the other has lots of tables and chairs for cosy dining. Additionally, the hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the building and offers 24-hour room service. Light lunch options include soups, salads and baguettes.

Each of the boutique's 49 rooms, including 12 suites, is beautifully styled with classic Georgian-style decor and contains iPod docks, flat screen televisions, original fireplaces and marble sinks. The elegant single and double rooms both have spacious wardrobes and relaxing showers, and some even have separate bathtubs, as well.

Single rooms have twin-sized beds and are decorated with beautiful green carpeting and light yellow wallpaper, while luxury doubles have queen-sized beds with golden bedspreads and silver pewter mirrors. Best of all, the floral decor throughout the building is especially refreshing, and some rooms even overlook the gorgeous gardens behind the hotel.

Equally lovely are the hotel's stunning suites with soothing shower cubicles and separate bathtubs, as well as high windows and full-sized mirrors. Throughout The Academy Townhouse, each room also has a unique arrangement and comfortable feel to ensure that you'll will drift into a state of utmost tranquillity from the moment you arrive.
