Residence 6 in Leeds has a range of stylish, self-catering apartments plus all the services you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel.

A former Post Office building, its elegant Victorian façade and original beamed ceilings give it authentic character. Slick, contemporary interiors attract the well-heeled lawyers and bankers who visit the city for meetings at Deloitte and Lloyds across the road and atmospheric prints of the Yorkshire Dales add a sense of place.

The facilities

Residence 6 may not have a restaurant, bar or spa, but it does have a comprehensive compendium in each apartment listing all the services you'd expect from a boutique or luxury hotel. Guests can request grocery shopping before they arrive, Loch Fyre fish restaurant provides a room service menu and front desk is always happy to order a food hamper from Harvey Nichols. There's a small gym on the second floor and in-room massage and beauty therapies are particularly popular with hen dos for well-heeled locals.

Regualar visitors to Residence 6 also have access to private storage, secretarial services, a travel agency and spaces in the car park below.

The rooms

Residence 6's 23 apartments have one or two bedrooms. All are duplex with a separate living room and each is kitted out with a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, crockery and a kettle. Guests are given a welcome pack of snacks, bread, jam, butter, cereal, milk and chocolates and are encouraged to cook for themselves.

A washer-dryer and high-tech gadgets including cable TV, a DVD player, a Playstation and free Wifi will make guests feel right at home. Rain showers and Molton Brown toiletries are added comforts you would expect from a boutique hotel.
