Created from a row of eight Georgian-styled houses that have been used as a hotel since the 1930s, Hotel du Vin Harrogate both classy and quirky; a great choice for boutique hotel aficionados. The restaurant is a reason to check in by itself, a fine bistro-style eatery that offers French-influenced cuisine at reasonable prices. The accompanying wine list is equally impeccable and in summer months there's the chance to eat al fresco in the pretty courtyard. There's also a gym and billiards room on site.
