The Bank Hotel occupies a prime location in Edinburgh city centre, situated on the Royal Mile and only two minutes walk from Princes Street. All the history and culture of Edinburgh is quite literally on your doorstep. Built in 1923 as a Bank, the building was extensively renovated with many of the original features restored in 1998, and again refurbished in 2008.

The facilities

Minimal facilities here; the focus is on those nine quirky bedrooms. There's no restaurant, but the lively downstairs bar provides light meals and snacks throughout the day. Room service runs until 9:00 pm and a hearty Scottish breakfast is served each morning, overlooking the Royal Mile.

The rooms

Each of Bank Hotel's bedrooms have been individually decorated to reflect the work and lives of a famous Scot. There are lovely touches, a roll-top bath here, a four-poster bed there, and all boast LCD televisions, DVD/CD players, well-stocked minibars and private safes.
