Located in Antalya's most historic district, Kaleici, the Tuvana is a beautifully appointed boutique hotel that's both friendly and romantic. Built in the early 18th-century, it once entertained imperial visits and still holds many valuable antiques and trinkets within its walls. Surrounded by beautiful gardens (guests are free to pick the oranges, plums, pomegranates and tangerines that grow there) it is a welcome respite from the bustling city.

The facilities

There's a choice of four restaurants - the first three (two indoor, one overlooking the garden) serve regional Turkish cuisine, and the last is an elegant fine dining affair, headed by Chef Efe Anil Çetin. There's also a lovely pool area in the garden.

The rooms

Each of Tuvana's 46 guestrooms shares the same classic style as its communal areas. Richly appointed, all have flat screen televisions, DVD players, complimentary wifi and hand-woven carpets as standard.
