The Hotel Des Indes is an iconic property in the Hague. This historic hotel has welcomed guests including former United States President Eisenhower, Tsar Nicholas II and the famed ballerina, Anna Pavlova (who actually died on the premises) – as well as many of today’s rich and famous. It is the place to see and be seen in this charming, international city.

A member of Starwood’s Luxury Hotel Collection, there isn’t much you can’t find here. Service is a priority and the accommodating hotel staff is on call 24 hours to help you with any need, from an extra pillow to concert tickets.

The large, ornate lobby is home to DesInDes, the hotel’s bar/lounge/restaurant. It’s the perfect place to meet for a drink or stop and enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea. Cigar aficionados will rejoice in the private Cigar Lounge – open to guests upon request even with the city’s public anti-smoking laws.

Fitness lovers will appreciate the state-of-the-art gym with a variety of cardiovascular training machines and resistance training equipment.  There is also a small indoor lap pool. And guests can make appointments for massages, facials and other relaxation treatments at the adjoining day spa.

When the legendary international designer, Jacques Garcia, was asked to bring the Hotel Des Indes back to its former glory, he took the charge seriously. Each of the 92 rooms is decorated in a grand, opulent style that both enlivens and comforts – from the large, canopied beds to the heated black marble floors in the baths.

The hotel offers four room categories:  Superior, Executive, the Junior Suite and the Presidential Suite. The Superior room offers a Nespresso machine, large flat screen TV with satellite entertainment system, Internet access, stocked mini-bar and deluxe toiletries. The Executive room has all this plus a little more room to move and a large working space for business travelers.

The Junior Suite is even larger with a separate sitting area and full bath with separate shower and tub. And the crème de la crème, the Presidential Suite, is truly distinctive with a full sitting area, dining area, extraordinary bathroom with steam shower and unparalleled views of the city.
