Trisara means “Third Garden in Heaven” in Sanskrit, and true to its name it is one of South East Asia's most intimate and exclusive resorts. Nestled over its own private bay just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, the resort is hidden amongst lush tropical jungle, and offers unique residences with private pools, dramatic sea views and a true sense of privacy. 

The facilities

The focal point of this boutique hotel is a sprawling 1,000 square-meter teak deck lofted above the private bay. A rocky isle sits several hundred meters offshore. Coconut palms tower above and open-air Moroccan-style daybeds, Javanese wicker chairs and simple marble tables adorn the deck.

On both sides of the deck, glass-and-teak structures with Thai-style sloping roofs house this boutique hotel's restaurant and bar. Naturally lit by day, the restaurant and bar are detailed with arrangements of orchids and jasmine and flicker with candles by night. Thai food, from aromatic Southern curries to Bangkok-style noodle dishes, is available all day. The chefs combine a Thai love of big flavors with a contemporary respect for market-fresh ingredients.

The rooms

The resort’s 39 pool villas and suites sit above the bay, adjacent to the beachfront restaurant decks and bar and the 18 larger residences are a celebration of tropical luxury. Each of the residences is a private compound with two to five bedrooms, private kitchens, 20 metre pools and dedicated cooks and service staff who provide a true sense of Thai hospitality. Although the grounds cover 2 km of private coastline, Trisara feels small, intimate and supremely luxurious. The entire resort is a sanctuary of privacy, space and simple good taste with service provided by a team of warm, caring people who regard hospitality as a joy.
