The facilities

Plentiful facilities on site, all with a mind to keeping you at your polished and preened best. There's a sumptuous KISO spa on site, which provides tailor-made treatments for hotel guests. The elegant treatment rooms overlook a summer terrace, and beyond that the two outdoor swimming pools and gardens.

The restaurant at Villa Principe Leopoldo serves three Michelin-starred Mediterranean cuisine, with the freshest produce sourced from local markets. The dishes are in keeping with Lombard tradition, but with the contemporary presentation you'd expect from a high-end eatery. The wine cellar is immense, stocked with over 500 vintages and looked after by two expert sommeliers.

The rooms

Each of the 75 bedrooms and suites carries the same elegant, traditional style as the rest of the hotel. The better ones enjoy sweeping lake views and private terraces, and are well worth trying to secure. All boast flat screen televisions, DVD players and gorgeous Molton Brown toiletries in the bathrooms.
