La Malvoisie restaurant is a real draw, serving fine French cuisine in elegant surrounds. The wine cellar is award-winning, and there's a lovely terrace area in the garden for summer dining. The spa offers a range of treatments from hot stone massages to facials (and runs special treatment programmes for children). The thermal pool is considered to be especially healing.

With just thirty guestrooms, Les Sources des Alpes maintains an intimate atmosphere. Décor errs on the traditional, and all come equipped with minibars, private safes flat-screen televisions and even a pillow menu. The better rooms have private balconies to make the most of those Alpine views.
