Hotel Guanahani and Spa is a luxury resort that's nestled among the coconut groves and hibiscus trees St Barts, in the French West Indies. The hotel is part of a 16 acre private peninsula offering relaxation but also plenty of activities in the form of various sports, but if you did want to explore outside of the resort the nearest town, Saint-Jean, is only a 10 minute drive away.

The facilities

The Guanahani's own Clarins Spa boasts eleven treatment rooms and offers a variety of massages, facials, body treatments and even a hair salon. An extensive list of outdoor activities and sports includes windsurfing, scuba diving, catamaran trips and deep sea fishing. For serious gym bunnies, there's also a fitness centre on site.

The rooms

There are 75 rooms at the Hotel Guanahani, including our favourites, the colourfully-painted cottages that open out onto a large terrace or private garden. Rooms vary in size; the largest suite has it's own private swimming pool, but all come equipped with satellite TV and private bathroom with a jet-tub.
