Hotel Overview
Nestled between the Gredos Mountains and the Tagus River (the longest stretch of water on the Iberian Peninsula), the Valdepalacios Hotel is a gastronomic hotspot of a luxury hotel. With a kitchen managed by renowned chef Santi Santamaria, this 19th-century manor house is a peaceful countryside retreat for foodies the world over.
The facilities
The Michelin-starred restaurant is the star of the show, serving gourmet Mediterranean cuisine of the highest order. There's a more informal eatery for light meals and snacks, plus a laid-back bar for evening drinks. 600 hectares of grounds hold myriad activities, including a spa, golf academy and even horse-riding.
There's plenty to see and do outside the estate; the Guadalupe monastery, Oropesa Castle and Yuste Abbey are all within easy driving distance.
The rooms
Each of Valdepalacios Hotel's 27 guestrooms shares the same classic style as its communal areas. All have air conditioning, private safes, minibars and flat screen televisions as standard.

The hotel welcomes children, and can arrange a babysitting service on request.Interconnecting rooms are available for families. Please note that the Michelin-starred restaurant does not permit children under 14 years old, but there is a more informal eatery suitable for them.

Renowned chef Santi Santamaria manages the Michelin-starred Tierra restaurant; there's a more informal eatery for light meals and snacks. Room service runs until 11:00 pm.
