A one-of-a-kind hotel in San Sebastian, Astoria 7 is the only place in the city wholly dedicated to the stars of its annual International Film Festival. Inside, expect clean-lined contemporary style matched by warm, welcoming staff. The hotel is located a little outside of the main sightseeing district, but only by an easy 15 minute walk. And the surrounding streets are full of restaurants and boutique shops.

The facilities

Minimal facilities here; the focus really is on the bedrooms. A good, varied buffet breakfast is provided daily, but there's no restaurant on site (though plenty of choice outside). Astoria 7 also boasts an extensive DVD collection, that's free for guests to use, plus complimentary internet in the cosy lounge-cum-library area and a fitness centre.

The rooms

Each of Astoria 7's 102 guestrooms (including 1 suite) is individually decorated and dedicated to a different movie star. They are spacious and sophisticated, and come with king size beds, flat screen televisions, complimentary wifi and all-natural toiletries in the bathrooms.
