Castillo de Buen Amor is a beautiful medieval castle, located just outside Salamanca. It is luxuriously furnished, whilst keeping the essence of the buildings history; expect to dine in the old dungeon area, which still bears the wall-carvings of the previous occupants, for one thing! The castle's gardens are particularly lovely.

The facilities

Fairly minimal facilities - the focus here really is on the building itself, and of course the bedrooms. The restaurant serves traditional Spanish fare in atmospheric surrounds, and there's a patio area for cocktail functions and the like. Six private meeting rooms are available for corporate or leisure hire. There are also regular 'banqueting events,' knights and fair maidens included, that are organised throughout the year.

Each of the Castillo de Buen Amor's 41 bedrooms is individually decorated, with antique furnishings and sumptuous fabrics. All rooms have pay-per-view movies, air conditioning, satellite television and well-stocked mini bars.
