From the moment you see the flags flying on the roadside you know that, in Hotel Cortijo Soto Real, you have come to somewhere far removed from the average boutique hotel in Andalucia.

That impression intensifies as you continue up the drive and see the Moorish Palace at the end. Once the home of an Arabian prince, Hotel Cortijo Soto Real was built with no expense spared. Its landscape is beautiful - views from the swimming pool stretch over cornfields as storks circle overhead.

The Prince may have left, but the interiors are certainly palatial, from the wellness centre to the dining patio to the lavish bedrooms.

The twenty-five rooms of Hotel Cortijo Soto Real are all spacious and luxuriously equipped. Bathrooms have hydro massage bathtubs, delicious Loewe soaps and shower gels and power showers. Marble interiors mix with painted Andalucian tiles. Bedrooms have private terraces or gardens, huge king-size beds, comfy armchairs, internet access and satellite television.
