The sleek and boutique Room Mate Leo takes residence in an Andalucian townhouse in the heart of Grenada. Inside, traditional archways, wall tiling and carved wooden ceilings are matched against Room Mate's signature funky modern styling. A central location means that the hotel is a stone's throw from the city's best shops, tapas bars and restaurants, as well as important cultural sites like the Alhambra and the Royal Chapel.
The facilities
A large terrace on the top floor is a great place to relax and take in rooftop views of Grenada. There's no restaurant, but a buffet breakfast (served until 12!) should set you up for the day. Staff at the 24-hour reception are eager to recommend other places to eat.
The rooms
Room Mate Leo has 32 rooms, including a single suite. All are decorated with monochromatic modern furniture and furnishings, mirror panels and opulent touches of gold. Tech goodies come in the form of free Wi-Fi and LCD TVs, and cream stone bathrooms have spacious bath/showers. All have great views of the city, including the Albayzin, the Sacromonte and the Alhambra.
